About me…
In my early 20’s, after struggling with disordered eating and body shame for the better part of my life, I came across Intuitive Eating. It became a turning point, a before and after. It was like my eyes were opened and I wasn’t able to pretend otherwise. I worked with therapists and registered dietitians who helped me explore how my disordered eating started as a way to cope but quickly became something that held me back.
Years after finding the healing I needed, I began to work toward schooling and additional trainings to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Supporting people struggling with disordered eating and body image concerns was a calling and a decade plus later still is!
After years of working with people struggling with food and body image concerns I began to see the frequent co-occurence of disordered eating and obsessive compulsive disorder. By utilizing my training in Intuitive Eating, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP, the evidenced-based therapy for OCD), Yoga and mindfulness-based interventions, and components of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I hope to support you in connecting to the full and vibrant life you desire, free of the torment of disordered eating and OCD.
It is absolutely possible to regard yourself with kindness and to live in a way that feels good to you. I’d love to connect with you to see if we’d be a good fit and if not, to help connect you with someone else who might be!
Live a life that feels right to you.
