Build trust in
yourself.
Being preoccupied with food and your body is exhausting. It takes you out of living presently, distracts you from enjoying the life you have, and from continuing to pursue the life you desire. This isn’t your fault! We’re taught from a young age to prioritize our appearance and ‘be healthy’ via controlling our eating, which at the core is usually in service of trying to secure a sense of value and belonging.
After years of trying to fit your body and eating into what you believe is good enough, you’re tired. You are beginning to uncover how the ways you’ve chased eating and body goals have spiraled alongside your struggles with anxiety and low mood. It doesn’t have to be this way. You can connect to what is important to you and learn how to trust yourself. Both in terms of trust in feeding yourself and respecting your here-and-now body, and in a deeper sense of trust that who you are is good, is enough, and is deserving of your time and care.
