From a young age, we're taught to prioritize our appearance. We learn, in a thousand different ways, that our worth is dictated by how we look and how we perform the current cultural standards of wellness. The pressure to live up to body ideals and narrow (disordered) views of eating can become overwhelming and life-consuming. This becomes entangled with the pressure we feel to be a version of perfect in other areas (relationships, as parents, work, and the list goes on….)
You’re in the right place if you’ve had enough. Together, we’ll work to understand your relationship with food, body shame, and the mental health struggles that often show up alongside them, including: depression, anxiety and body dysmorphia. I’ll help you make sense of the ways diet culture has impacted your sense of self in all areas of life and teach you ways to cultivate a relationship with your body and food that feels good for you.
